Hello! I’m Beth, writer, mother, minivan driver. Not necessarily in that order.

As a writer, I specialize in writing the things you don’t want to write yourself, and saying the things you’ve been thinking in your head. So if you have a website that requires content, promotional materials that need to be polished, or a topic that is just begging to be turned into an article, I’m your girl.

I also contribute to or write personal essays, commentary and reviews for local publications like The Ridgewood News and (201) Family and websites like The MidTween Us and Tips from Town, and allparenting.com. Most recently, I conceived of, then wrote for, the now defunct betwixtgirls.com, a lifestyle website for tween girls.

Before I started my career as parent and Personal Uber Driver to a teen, a tween and a precocious kindergartner (yes, she is tall for her age), I made myself useful (and paid the bills) by working in the advertising/technology/education/newspaper industries. So I know a little bit about a lot of stuff. You totally want me on your trivia team.

When I’m not staring into my computer screen, you can usually find me in The Van (see current occupation above) or standing at my kitchen counter, waiting for one of the other inhabitants of my house to need me. I can also be found on Facebook (every stinkin’ day), Twitter (when I’m feeling very patient or I need a service provider to call me back), Instagram (when I’m checking up on my kids) and Pinterest (when I’ve volunteered to make snacks for a school party). If you would like to work with me, or if you just want to tell me that I’m awesome, please contact me at beth@bethmeleski.com.
